I really have been scrutinizing my truck now. I haven't noticed, due to long term ownership, but I think my front coil springs are worn. I have a 2 inch gap between top of hte tire and fender lip, and I am thinking that the coil springs are worn. If you have a 4x2 F-250 circa 1992 how big is that gap between yoru tire and your fender lip? I know my 4x4 leaf spring F-250 has a huge wheel well gap, but I knwo the 4x2 coil spring 92 had a smaller gap when I bought it. Should I be looking for new coil springs, or is this the same as new? I honestly can't remember what the ride height looked liek when it was new. 387,000 miles later, I'm sure I have some sag, but how extreme? this is an F-250 "custom" with coils. I really think my truck is lagging behind on maintenance, but dang... will new coils make a big difference? any reccomendations for "non-advance auto parts" coils? I don't want to buy Ford, but I dont want to make the thing worse by fixing it. I know, if it aint broke, don't fix it, but I am about ready to light a match to the truck, after my tranny problems and after really loking at it, unbiased, I find there to be a ton more wrong with it than I first thought.
anybody got an opinion?

I'd put a set of air bags inside the coils. Then you can inflate them to get the front to set wherever you want. They sell them in JC Whitney as well as other places.
