Does anyone know how to remove the alternator pulley? I ordered a new 200 amp. alternator but it came with the wrong number of grooves. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif So I might have to swap pulleys from the old unit to the new alternator. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Thanks,

Do you loosen the nut with the serpentine belt is still on? Or do remove the nut after you remove the alternator?

Thanks,

air hammer works best. take tension off belt but wrap it around and hold it tight. Do not hold it with your hand.
