I have a 07 psd with 6 speed trans, edge juice attitude platinum (100hp), banks monster duals (straight piped). I was wondering about how much rear wheel horsepower it may be pushing. Thanks

probaly like 360ish. U figure stock the 6.0 puts out 325, add the 100hp and you get hp to the flywheel. times that total buy 15% and then subtract for drivetrain loss.

some trucks have stronger studs then others. The 06-07's i believe were changed from other years. If your really worried about it, I would get a set of guages and watch your EGT's, thats what blows them. I really dont see an edge 100hp tune getting to hot though but your transmission might not like you. soflasmoker probaly cause your running Dougs tunes. haha j/p

actually studs are not factory, the head bolts on these motors are notorius for "stretching"under higher comb cyl pressure(ie..using a tuner, high boost, etc)which causes head gasket failure.arp makes a head stud kit that you can install or have installed, and if you read previous posts,id reccomend this.especially if your gonna play with your 6.0.stud kits runs 400-500(i think)if your abe to do thge install it would save you alot of money.if someone does it for you id expect at least 2000 to do the job.6.0s are not mod friendly right outta the box be careful.....good luck charlie

gauges are nec with any diesel but its not egts that smoke the hg"s its the increased combustion cylinder pressure, from increased fuel and boost, when running a tuner.also 6.0s do not have head studs, only headbolts that like to stretch.

He has gauges........... They are part of the Platinum's attitude controller.............

Jonathan,

You didn't say which cab configuration you have or the bed length, so all that can be done is give you a range of hp........... You also didn't mention whether you have the "hot unlock" code or not........ So, depending on those variables, you are most likely, somewhere between 360-400hp.

No I don't have the hot unlock code, but my truck is extended cab, long bed, and i thought since i had the manual transmission that is would a little bit more horse power to the rear wheels, Guess one of these days i need to Dino it.

Once you have the torque converter locked it's the same as a manual trans it dosen't matter, so you can get the same horsepower to the rear wheels once the converter is locked. Where the difference comes of course is when the trans is in the fluid drive.

My best guess for your rear horsepower would be about 275. Since the tuners are tested for rear wheel horse power, and with combination to you improved exhause I think you could safely add 100 HP to the stock amout. About 375 at the rear.
