Can you just change the pump in the HFCM or do you have to change every thing and what do you need to change it out? I'm starting to loose fuel psi, thanks.
3,100 on the filters, at start up say 20 deg out I was getting 52 psi @ idle 49-50 driving at 65 70 mph. wot 45-44 psi
and its -15 out today I put all the anti gel in it a few days ago and the I also put the diesel 911 in it and now only getting to 40 psi at idle or down to 10 the then in drive only about 2 psi then slowly goes to 40 or lower now.
I just had the FICM replaced in my 2006 6.0. The truck would do nothing when it got 10 degrees or colder. Acted just like it was gelled up, but it really wasn't. I may be that.
It's doing what yours did. Last time it got down to 0 I thought I was gelling up I couldn't go past 50 mph and then after going on the side roads I was at full speed and then I installed a fuel gage. I just started it up it had 50 psi then had idle in the driveway the after sitting there the psi dropped down to 12-14 psi. It seems like after the pump gets warm its loosing psi??? I can hear the pump making a diff noise when I'm doing my Pre heat.
Sona*****--Im just west of you banshee and the same ****s happening to me.. Drive normally for about a mile, then slowly come to a stop. Wait 5 min and then will start normally. Repeat. Anyways..Where did you get/how much was the module? Any insight on what tools youll need or tips/pointers? TIA
IIRC the pump was available seperately in the past, but now it is recommended that the whole HFCM be replaced..less than $300 for a new one if you shop around..
