SCT is the tuning device of those wanting to get some serious power out of their motors.

Hatch... you do realize black smoke is un-burnt fuel?... and black smoke doesn't nessesary mean you have a powerful truck. You will also just screw things up if you don't mod it the right way.

I do not know about the staight pipes, but what I do know the sct is the way to go. I have custom tunes from Eric @ Innovative and what a difference (used to have the Edge Plat.)!

If you want smoke all you need to do is have a chip and set it on a high tune and drive it like its stolen exhaust wont matter your truck will smoke

maybe you shouldgo somewhere else if smoke is all your looking for out of your truck. people like you are the reason diesels are getting a bad image. smoke is not cool and it doesent necessarily mean you got alot of power, however it is a side effect of making power on our trucks. looking to make more power is good but just looking for smoke and nothing else is not.

my truck is stock except for the exhaust...it smokes a little more from what I can tell...but ya just put a programmer on it and you'll get plenty of smoke.

I'd get different exhaust before a tuner though, just my 02 cents. But yeah, the sct is the only way to go on the 6.0. Even the canned tunes will make it smoke

Sorry man, not EVERYBODY wants their truck to "roal coal". Especially as its wasted resources, that are getting bloody expensive. Its also the reason we have the EPA & CARB breathing down diesel owner's necks.

Black smoke is a bad decision on so many levels.

Better "trien" stay in "skewl", cause even with black smoke you still won't have the "fatest" truck. On a serious note, with an Extreme tune and a manual trans you can cruise along, mash the throttle, hold the brake and let the coal roll. (At least on old school non-vgt turbos and big injectors)

I meant everyone that's doing something with their trucks WANTED (not wants) to see some soot at one point. This doesn't pertain to those of you who keep a stock truck. I've got three stroker work trucks that i don't want to see smoke, but still to this day i like to see some out of my daily driver every now and then.

Rig a by-pass switch to the VGT, you cut it out and she's going to smoke all you want. Plenty of people do it, just don't say we didn't warn you.
