I personally don't have any experience with the cross over line, but I know Dennis at ITPDiesel.com makes one. So I'd be pretty sure it's one of the better ones on the market. All of Dennis' stuff is top notch, plus he's an awesome guy to deal with.

I have used the tymar style on my 95 with no trouble, it is the stainless braided hose type. I have a stainless hardline on my 99 from ITP and have had good luck so far.

Honestly.....I don't believe in them(putting on my flame suit /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/phoney.gif). If you are determined to spend your money, contact Dennis at ITP(site sponsor). /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smokin.gif

i also cant notice any difference after putting the line on both of my trucks but i have to also say if your going to buy it get the one from ITP i researched this mod for quite some time and i have only seen one ITP line fail from a bad coupler but numerous rubber stainless braided lines fail which are also prone to rubbing a hole through things if not installed correctly, at least the one i got from dennis is bent to the point that you will never have it rub anything /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smokin.gif

Really......we all use different ones and have different experiences much like your mpgs each truck will vary.....my co-worker's son went to a tractor shop and had it made for 15 bucks 5000 psi rated line. It's a #5 boss O-ring...try it and if you like it then upgrade if you feel the need and if it did nothing well your outtah of about 3 gallons of #2 at the most.....and you get to bond w/ the 7.3L ain't that what its about......lol...

He's suggesting that this could turn into a flame war of this one's better than that one kinda crap.

Personally I have never heard of an SS line failing, I have seen several posts where the rubber lines have at least leaked, if not failed.

My recom in using this is the keep the plugs for your head in the glove box and carry some extra oil if you're on a trip, that way there's much less a chance of getting stranded if it goes.

The pressure graphs on ITP Diesel's site illustrate the effectiveness of the piece. Don't buy it expecting it to give you a massive hp gain and gobs more fule mileage, but it does smooth the engine up (from what those who have them say) and has contributed to better fuel mileage (although the results of which may be imperceptible).

I think the "There yah yah" threw me. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Still not sure what that means. But, it sounds like the stainless line is the way to go.
Thanks.

Well, I had the HX installed (ss line), could not get it to stop leaking at the coupler. I took it out for fear it was a sign of failure looming. Now I do not know if it was the way I put it in but I did follow the instructions to the letter. Anyways the difference between installed and not installed is negligible, so I kinda wished I had put my money towards new rotors or another more noticible mod.

I have the SS one the ITP sells and it has been fine. No leaks at all but I was careful to lube the O-rings so as not to tear them and also clean up any old O-ring bits on the heads. I can tell the difference in how quiet the motor is with the line on or off. I also had good luck with a Tymar HX hose just decided to try out this one.

The orings that come on the fittings are a bit fat, I took them off and used the factory seals, the fitting goes all the way to the head when torqued and none of the seal squishes out.

I've got the dieselsite one on for a tad over 20 months now with no issues. It gets checked at least every couple of weeks.

I debated going with the ITP line, and I like Dennis' stuff lots; but I have a pipe bender and flare tool readily accessible and the plugs in the toolbox along with extra oil (best suggestion I've seen from GREGROB in a while!), so if it fails, I'll have a fix and can make a backup in short order. I may just create my own hardline and keep it in the toolbox just in case.
