I decided I'm going to up grade my hpop, to run some tunes to take advantage of my ad 30 swamp double shot injectors. My stock hpop runs it fine but with tunes it can't keep up.

What are some decent hpop options? What else should be replace/upgraded along with hpop.

Anyone have experience with hpop replacement, this will be my first one ever done. Tips would be greatly appreciated.

I've been running the Adrenaline HPOP since May of 2009. It seems to keep up pretty good with hot tunes and bigger injectors.

No, it's built by Diesel Site. Throughbred is just a vendor like we are for them.

The adrenaline will be plenty of pump for those swamp's injectors. We've done alot of adrenaline pumps for even up to 250/200cc hybrids and they hold ICP just fine.

Well let's start with the obvious. Pumps include the necessary o-rings needed to for the change out. Probably wouldn't hurt to get a new IPR and ICP sensor. Also pull apart your reservoir and check the screen. Clean as needed or replace it. Also check your hpop lines. Sometimes they can be leaking or get weak.

What is your end goal for the truck?

As far as custom tuning goes, I'd highly suggest doing a hydra and some good custom tunes. We're a vendor for gearhead and matt makes some great efficient tunes for the 7.3's.

Welll for now goal is daily still I use it for work. I'd like a little pep in the step,not gutless like it is. I'd like to still get good fuel milage for a 7.3 but I would like to feel like I'm actualy wot.


I actually have put in a new ipr and icp! But don't need to replace lines or get new oil cooler or anything?

Adrenaline, t500, or MB diesel hpop. Take your pick.

You will need a hydra to get any improvement over the stock hpop/stock tuning

Especially with the modified split shots. They need different calibrations to work halfway decent

Yeah blue I figured that out, I'm going with the adrenaline hpop. I haven't seen a bad review yet on it! I probably would have gone t500 if I didn't have to wait for it to come back. Can't have my truck down that long :/

So when I replace the hpop, is it wise to replace the oil cooler and tubing as well?
