yes, I am sure it will. Even if yours is an EARLY 99. And if it is an early 99 then the newer one will be an improvement over your stock one.

Yes it will work. I installed one on my early 99 yesterday. The gasket that comes with the Delphi is the correct gasket. The Dilphi pump is great. I was only holding 1600 PSI (85% duty cycle)at WOT with a DP Tuner 120 program. I am happy to say that I now hold 2800 PSI with a 46% duty cycle. What an improvement! I was told by Delphi engineering that Delphi remans use only reuse the casting. All the internals are new. Their competition reuses the internals, fixes anytbing broken and seals it back up. Many folks on this site have said that you have a 50/50 chance of the competition pumps (from Ford) keeping up with aftermarket tuning.

They do test them, but only against stock programming. Most of the chips call for more fuel (most tuners don't, they get the increase HP by advanced timing). My old HPOP would hold 2500 PSI with a Hypertech III, but droped to 1600 with the DP Tuner. By the way, the DP Tuner is WAY, WAY safer as the timing is much less than the tuners.

It is a gamble at best. If you get one from Ford, they don't replace internals except broken parts, and if the doner truck was not maintained (regular oil changes) then the pistons will have additional clearances, ie, less output. That is why I went with the Delphi. I talked to many vendors trying to get some kind of warranty, but as soon as you mention aftermarket tuning and a way to collect real data, they all backed off. I felt this was the best gamble next to dual pumps.
