Has anyone tried (bought) the hypertech computer? It does: trouble codes, drag strip times, dyno, engine monitoring, speedo correct, trans shift points, pressure, etc. Looks like a good product and user friendly. The website is hypertech.com. I don't know how much$$, but I will find out tomorrow. Looks like you can use it with any chip or programmer.

not sure about using with another programmer but you cant use it with a chip its possible that if you have a multi possition chip you can use a stock setting in one position as long as it has the same base code as the factory computer. Im working on that right now. It marries to you vehicle so if it sees the code change from the chip it will not power up for use. I beta tested the 7.3 version and it worked well. It didnt have icp/ipr on the engine monitor section but that is supposed to be added. Ill know more in a week or so about the situation with the chip.. My chip uses pmt base code and my computer is a mnmo or 1 cant remember for sure. I have to get my stock setting changed to what the computer is then i will know wether it will go ahead and power up with the chip in. I can power it up then plug the chip back in and it works fine, but as soon as you turn it off it will not power back because it "sees" a different vehicle than was originally installed on. I will update this thread when i find out more on my setup.

You can get a egt module for it that will allow you to run the pac as a gauge set. It datalogs does 1/4mile,1/8mile runs, dyno runs, 0-60 etc. It also has hypertecs 3 stages of programing on it.
