I found a D60 for $1500 Cdn at a wrecker. The other wrecker wanted 2000 if they had one. The D60 is 1991. Its still on the truck and I can take what I want. He sold the rotors and hubs, but he thinks he can find the parts in the yard from D50s of that age and a couple wrecked D60s. will anything fit off mine fit? What would you cut off the F350? Anyhow I put a deposit on it and im getting it in 8 days. Im feeling good right now.

dont forget to take the springs, steering links, track bar & mount, the lower u-bolt mount for the drivers side, drive shaft, and shackles if they are in better shape then yours.

I know that seemed high but I am having a hell of a time finding one with in a few hours of here and the other wrecker wanted 2000 and he didnt even have one. The 91 is a king pin style knuckle. what to do, what to do. plus i have to re gear it to the 3.55s i got in the rear. If I convince myself i need bigger tires when i do the 6 inch lift. then ill put a 4.10 in the rear. i pretty much rape the front end of the other truck it seems. Ill have to see what he comes up with for hubs and whatnots. will my calipers work on that axle?

Talk him down on the axle price if it is minus the hubs. I have a set from my D50 including the manual lockouts that I will sell you cheap. PM me if you would like pics and stuff..

You should be replacing the disks anyway. Your local auto parts store will have them. Make sure you get the calipers and brake lines because you have bolt on calipers, and the 91 I think has the retaining pin type. That way you dont have to worry about figuring out how to get them when you get the axle home.

You are gunna rebuild the inner and outer ends including the bearings and such right? I would highly recomend you do a complete rebuild. including the inner seals. You can probably skip the pinion stuff.. I got all my rebuild parts for my D60 from http://www.4wdfactory.com/ They had the best price by FAR. check them out.

well the lockouts are easy to get. Where do I get the actual hub that the disk mounts to.
