I have a 2000 XLT 4WD with Manual locking hubs and 125K miles.

Recently I have been moving and have had to use 4WD to get out of the area I have been storing stuff in.

I have noticed in a "tight turn", I think it is both ways, that I hear a "clicking noise" coming from the left front. If I "free" the hub, the noise goes away.

Please tell me that this is OK and to have fun with the truck.....Anybody want to help me move?

Thanks,

Gary

Yeah - just try to avoid really turning tight with the hubs locked in. Put's additional strain on those u-joints.

It's ok and have fun....Love to help you move - if you come down here and help load square bales - it's only 98F today - supposed to get hot next week...this is rediculous......no rain in sight....

Thanks guys for the info. I think I will pass on the hay bale loading, back already hurts from moving boxes and boxes and boxes and oh yeh, the furniture too. Still have more boxes.....

Thanks again.
