My dealer called last Wednesday and told me that there were a few navigation units that had become available. He had gotten in touch with his Ford rep and after pressuring him a litte he got him to put a 01 priority on my truck. Between then and now they have picked up my order and assigned a vin # which I have. The dealer said he should have a delivery date shortly which he will call with.

Supposedly the only way that I got a nav unit is because I ordered my truck with the Lariat interior package and added the nav to it. He said that all trucks with the Lariat ultimate package are still on hold regardless. I'm really excited right now. I didn't expect this truck for months from now.

Exciting and aggravating all at the same time! Aggravating that we have to play games to get our trucks built. If that's the case I would have ordered mine like you did plus sun roof. I really don't want the tail gate step anyways. Might see if my dealer can order one that way then see which one gets pulled first!

Believe me the ball usually doesn't roll this way for me. It just happened that I didn't want the moon roof or tailgate step. Other than those 2 things the truck pretty much has everything else. My dealer has really done a good job of staying right on top of this. E.t.a. from ford is august 22nd at the dealership.

Wow, that'll be here before you know it. Oh wait never mind. Time drags when your waiting for a new truck! Actually I'm impartial on the sunroof, but the ladies seem to love em. Got to keep them happy.

Just called my dealer back, still on hold "could be December or some time next year", thanks. I'll give it a couple more weeks and will most likely move on. I placed my order with nav end of June ???

The rep for my area felt comfortable mine would be built in September, but he could just be feeding me BS so I won't cancel. The felt if I ordered a Lariat Pkg add Nav that it at this point it would still be Sept as well so not any quicker. Who knows? I'm not believing any one right now because basically they don't know themselves.

I just got off the phone with Ford Customer Care and they said that as of today my truck is currently in the plant being built and that the delivery to the dealer is still scheduled for the 22nd of this month! I have been following this pretty close just waiting for something to fall through but it looks like it is really going to happen. I had already prepared myself for a long wait but now that it happened so quick it is killing me to wait just 2 more weeks.

I think I will order my amp powersteps and Pace Edwards Full Metal Jackrabbit cover tomorrow so they will be here when the truck arrives.

I checked online last night and the window sticker was not available but when I checked again this morning it is posted. It shows the truck was built on 8/8 and shows everything exactly as I ordered it. Also shows it as being shipped by convoy. It's getting close now!

Glad for you anyway, I don't know what I am going to do, want the truck but find it hard that FORD or the dealers can't give me anything on a build date. I will hang on, as I said before as I have ordered some parts for a new truck, if not I will just cut my loss and move on. Sad how this is working out.

I'm happy for you brightideaselectric. I know exacly what you're feeling. I just wish I could get some solid answers. I spoke with my salesman today and he says they got a memo from Ford Canada saying all 2012 trucks with Nav are on hold indefinatly untill futher notice. However the ford.ca website says there will be late availability, and I'm seeing you're getting your truck built with Nav so I'm holding out hope. My truck will come from the same plant as yours just my dash will be in km instead of miles. Just wish I could get someone from ford to give us there battle plan for chugging out these deliveries.:icon_frown:

I know Ford hasn't made any official announcements yet......but I keep seeing more and more postings on forums of guys with nav getting build dates for there trucks. I don't think it is going to be that much longer for you InfernoSS. I think they are right on the edge of breaking loose on these builds. Just my opinion!

I just found out mine is to be built the first week in September, which I'm guessing will make it a late sept to first week in October delivery. Excited its scheduled, but now the "long" wait begins! I too want to get some of the parts out of my garage and on the truck before winter hits. Upside is as brightideaselectric mentioned I too am hearing about more and more nav units being scheduled, so hopefully everyone's wait won't be too much longer!

Thanks guys, I don't know what's worse the shopping around trying to get the best price or the wait for it to be made. I haven't felt like this since a kid waiting for Christmas day!

A lot of the times here in Oregon the rail car will get it here on schedule, but then it sits in the Port until they feel like getting around to loading it, so sometimes can add an extra week just sitting locked up a few miles away!

Glad to hear you guys are getting your trucks. I knew when I ordered mine July 25th that it would be a long wait but that does not make the wait easier. Hearing that trucks are in progress does.

The wait is definitely the worst part. My truck is supposed to be at the dealership this week. First it was Monday....then Wednesday .....and then the last I checked they were saying Thursday.
brightideaselectric,
Waiting can be tough, so I sent you a PM with my research on your order. The details are waiting for you in your inbox. :)
