We just got back from a trip up to Niagra Falls in Canada and drove about 850 miles round trip towing our 5500# Travel Trailer. I barely knew it was back there compared to towing it with my old 1/2 ton 5.4L Suburban. My RPMs stayed around 2000 @ 60 - 65 mph in OD.

The old truck felt like it was going to explode if I went over 60 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/depressed.gif. There was one point when I passed a tractor trailer and found myself at 80 MPH. I hardly felt it, but having the wife and kids with me I backed down real fast! Its nice knowing the truck can handle 80 while towing, but my safety zone is 60 - 65.

I would concur. I pull a 10K travel trailer and with the PSD, Airbags and Hensley hitch it's a sweet machine.

I now have about 2000 miles under my belt towing and it does a fine job.

Pulling my 8,000 pound + TT is a breeze.I only have a Reese dual cam HP and it works great. The shocks in the new TT do make a huge differance compaired to the old one. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smokin.gif

I have pulled our TT about 15K in the last 4+ years and love the "X".
Just hook up and go
