Well last night I finnaly swapped out my automatic tranni for a 6 speed hand rattler. Boy the truck is a completly different animal now! I still need to swap out my steering columb to the stick shift type but I noticed the OD light flashing out codes. Do I need to change my pcm? Is there anybody out there that has changed over their trucks to a stick or am I the only one that is crazy enough to do it.

the bulb will be removed when I remove the auto shifter from the colum. I have a tilt steering colum from my donor truck that I'll be putting in soon. My truck looks stange with a stick on the floor and a stick on the colum.

HA HA HA great way to confuse a thief. Once you get rid of the colum shifter no blinky light.

Did you just buy a wrecked donor? How did the install go?

Yes I bought a donor truck. It was an early 99. The install went smoother than I thought. I had to change out tranni cooler lines plug in a different tranni wire harness change my brake pedal and add a clutch and slave. The hole that needs to be cut out is a little decieving on where to put it. I still have some more work to do when I have time maybe this weekend. The truck is totally awesome now. I don't know of to many trucks that will boil the tires when shifting into 3rd!

I would love to do the same to my 2000 SD crew cab. What exactly and how difficult was doing the entire job. PM me with any info would be greatly appreciated.
