I went to the pulls the other night at the Buck and was to late to signup for the pulls /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/depressed.gif I would not have stood a chance against all the Cummins powered trucks there but it would have been fun to do...plus they wopuld have made $20 bucks off of me.

Well I new I was returning there on August 6 for the pulls again and I asked if I could sign up for that one...well I was told no because my Powerstroke Diesel 4X4 is an SUV not a truck /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif The guy said that the adverisement for the events are diesel "truck" pulling...Therefore I not allowed /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bleh.gif

I figured I will try it anyways on August 6 to see if they flag me then...Anyone else on here hear of this /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

That is BS they should have let you pull. If I were you I wouldn't give them a chance at anymore of your money, but if you do go back I would ask to talk to who ever is running the event and make a complaint any way.

That sucks,

Yea I don't see the difference. Its all for fun anyway the people are just getting more than they paid for if they were expecting just trucks. Just sign up and run it. My .02 Jim

I was down there as well and wanted to enter my truck, but I didn't have the tires or valve body installed until Sunday. You're right though, the white Dodge that won the pull would have been very hard to beat. Well until he blew his rear axle at the end. And the red Dodge that won the drags would have been hard as well. I'm tempted to enter the pulls that night, but thats the same day that I was going to Carlisle. I just wish this wasn't the last pull of the year. I suppose I might have stood a chance in the tug of war maybe.

Sorry to hear about that /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I drove 80 miles to Fon Du Lac this weekend and almost got denied as well.. They informed me that the pull was for Fon Du Lac county trucks only.. I had them ask around and they eventually let me pull in the diesel class.. I ended up being the first to pull
1st Pull Video
I wasn't happy with 273 feet so I tried again..
2nd Pull Video
295 feet was better /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif
Took 3rd place and got my $20 entry fee back /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Yea Bruce, Ozz was his name. I'll see if I can sneak through the signups in two weeks...It's not like I'm going to win anything. I just want to pull for fun /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif I actually told Ozz that and he said if I let you pull for fun then 100 other guy's will want to do the same thing....Well if you do the math??? 100 people X's $20 buck a person /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif not bad for a rinkydink motrosports park for letting people have fun.

Powerstroke 73, That white dodge did pull pretty good and that red one was real fast in the drags...I think that 01 white dodge had a 12v conversion done to it...It sure did sound like it had a mean "pullin" pump on it.

Later,
Brent.

I was kind of wondering about that. It didn't seem to miss like the one 24V did. Sounded like he was losing his VP44 pump. The white Dodge was helping his sale of the truck with the first pull, but the 2nd one probably killed that /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif I did have a guy run into me in Walmart yesterday while getting my new MTRs mounted and asked me if I ever pulled at the buck.

white truck sounds like it might possibly have been Andrew from Antrim Diesel. He has a P-pump conversion done on it. It really is a nice running truck. He really gets into the sled pulling also.

I don't remember seeing an Antrim banner on that one, but the red dodge that won the drags plus a few others had antrim banners on them. It was a very strong running truck from the sounds of it. Just not much good off the line until he could get it spooled.

I thought the disel pick-up day at the buck went pretty good...Just keep trying BDS there is one more pull this year.....Just make sure your there early enough. Those Dodges are nice, but how much money have they spent on there trucks to get them to run that way compared to the others??? The top 5 were 3 Dodges and 2 Fords..... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smokin.gif

[/ QUOTE ]Yup the white 01 was Antrim's P-pumped 24 valve, the red 12 valve that won the drags, belongs to Phillip Rice, his dad runs Antrim Deisel. Sorry they wouldn't let you pull BDS, I was actually talking to some buddies up there that night, who were wondering if they could pull with an Ex. I told them I couldn't see why not, guess I was wrong.

FIVEOLOGY, When you say P-pummped 24v do you mean a 24v head with a p7100 pump? I didn't think you could do that. I thought that you had to run a 12v head with a p7100 pump. Now I have practically no experience in seriously bombing a Cummins.

blackforddiesel, powerstroke73...I'll just need approx $1,000,000 to start the track up /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

Its a P pump conversion. You retain the 24 valve head, but run the mechanical pump. It requires either a lot of work, or you can buy conversion kits nowadays with everything you need to do it.

Powerstroke73, I'll take anything.

maximunstroke, I always thought different since I read somewhere that the 24v injectors won't operate correctly with a p-pump supplying them. Something about they need more pressure. But I guess if us PSD guy's can build hybrid 530 injectors the Cummins guys wouldn't have any problem building a 24v/12v hybrid injector either /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif
