Does anyone know exactly where the ICP sensor plug is on a 2003 6.0?
It's supposed to be a round 3 wire plug behind the turbo on the drivers side. The only plug I can find there is a two wire oval plug.

04 and 05 have these on the passenger side valve cover.

I have looked at the photo from another post, and believe I am looking at the same item. Is it possible that there are different types of plugs/harnesses and wires? 2 wires vs. 3?

What you found was the connector for the IPR (Injection Pressure regulator) The ICP sensor is BEHIND the IPR and has a silver heat shield slid down over it. It's a real bastard to get at. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif The only thing harder than actually getting to it and removing the connector from the sensor is getting it back on! I have done many - good luck my friend!

Ford Doctor,

I replaced an ICP on my early build '03. How do you get at it? I found the easiest way was under the truck, driver side, reach up over the bellhousing and get to it that way. Of course it's all by feel but if you know where the sensor is and how it is oriented, it wasn't to bad after all.

Robert, That's a bit of a stretch for me. I do it the old fashioned way. I remove the coolant bottle and the FICM and I can see everything I am doing. It's one of those things that I decided was not worth trying short cuts. When it's your own truck you have nobody but yourself to blame when the sensor gets broken, a wire gets pulled out of the connector or the connector pops off the sensor. When you get paid to do it, it HAS to be 100% or you might end up getting crucified on this God forsaken web site! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif I have heard of guys getting to it from underneath. I tried it, still can't reach it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif Whadaya gonna do? LOL!

Thanks for the help. I found the 6.0 Bigle on this forum, and that helped. I was able to the connector on and off from the top br modifying a really long screwdriver to bend and fit back there. It was easier than from the bottom for me.

I love to hear success stories. Sometimes a picture really helps doesn't it?
