The gauge indicates the battery is taking a good charge. The light will occasionally come on at idle. Which one do I believe. It also seems as if the engine is turning over slower then it did a week ago. Will check to see if the cables are clean tomorrow.

I saw trust the idiot light if it is comming on at idle. Mine gets real low on idle too. Just waiting for a no charge before I pony up for another alt.

You're right, if the voltage is dropping real low at idle that's
not good. Something getting ready to go. My truck still sits
at over 14 volts while idling. It'll go to about 13.8 right
after the GP's cycle off and quickly build to over 14 again. I
haven't looked at it while the GP's are on though. These readings
