Im looking at an 01 for a friend. He had am oil leak and traced it to the drivers side high pressure oil line and the plug in the bottom of the hpop. He fixed the leaks and now has almost no power, he said he has to put his edge module on level 6 and go to 4 low for tje trick to move. Ran fine before oil leak repair. He took it to a local diesel shop and they sai he had 7 failed injectors. Being a 6.0 guy i know almost nothing about how to diagnose this thing. I think 7 injectors seems kinda fishy. I would really like to figure this out for him.

Sounds like a hp oil issue. You can try unplugging the ICP on the drivers head, inside towards the front. That sensor tells the computer what the hp oil pressure is and adjusts accordingly, but if it's giving false data, you may not put out enough oil at all. Make sure the IPR coil is on securely too.

- Is there a service engine light on? What codes did the shop come up with to determine 7 bad injectors?

Besides what Tom said, maybe the check ball under the bottom plug of the HPOP got displaced when he fixed the leak. IIRC, the instructions say to have the pump in a certain position when doing the repair to avoid dislodging the ball. Not sure of the mechanics behind it, but if it's bleeding off HP oil pressure internally, that would indeed cause a very low power situation.
