To say I now have 72,398 miles on my 2009 F250, 6.4 liter DIESEL with ZERO problems. Others will chime in talking crap, but it doesn't matter because MINE works.
The "Official Truck of Opec" has had no mechanical issues over the course of it's first
50K...
Keeping up with regular sheduled maintenance and taking it in for the recalls and the occasional TSB's have kept me trouble free also... I still can't get over the lack of fuel economy though!
This is my first ford truck after years of another brand that rhymes with slopar and i can say it has been my best truck!
72k miles and zero issues!! fuel mileage....well its not exactly a Prius, however it get just over 17mpg highway.
18k on a 2008 F350 stakebody. Hauls a lot of mulch and stone and pushes snow. Averaging 11.2 mpg. Diesel tech at my Ford dealor said I could get 20mpg by doing a few things that would viod the warranty, of course.
Thinking about it.
30000 km's (20,000 miles) and zero issues. 100% stock and will stay that way until warranty runs out.then things might change to get the MPG up:icon_wink:
I won't know the exact #'s until I go on a trip, but I have seemed to gain 4-5MPG with my new setup. I love it. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner.
I never wait until the warranty is up, because by that time, I am usually interested in a new truck.
I have a 10' that i have owned for a year with 8500 miles and is my first ford besides a 95 Escort. I really like this truck but some reliability issues on forums/internet have scared me. My real world experience is much different and those that I know with this model truck and engine have had nothing but good luck. My friends 09 has run out of fuel and got bad/water in diesel and no effects to the fuel system except for purging the tank.
I had the notorious radiator leak...simple fix, and a few issues with the latest flash that have been resolved. Just pulled my Toyhauler over 2000 miles with no issues. I feel great about the 6.4, the power, the ride quality, etc. Given the number of these trucks that have been sold, they done seem prone to have many issues.
