I had a hard starting with lots of wight smoke problem a couple months ago http://www.thedieselstop.com/forums/f24/starts-hard-279644/

In researching the problem I figured out that part or all the issue was the injector sleeves were cracked and leaking fuel into my coolant and coolant into the injectors. I ordered the sleeves and seal kit and machined a puller and installer for the job PIC

as you can see in the pic I had more then one cracked sleeve. It took about 6 HRs to replace all the sleeves but not the truck runs excellent with no smoke or starting issues.
thanks for the help ewallace

Nice job on the puller and replacer.

Did you have a sample to go by, or just get the required dimensions from somewhere?

I used the injector sleeve for the measurements to make the installer The puller I used the sleeve and the heads.
