Well I just found out that I have PMR for sure--was hoping to be one of the lucky 50,000 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif Took the pipe plug out on the drivers side of the engine block, and what fun that was.....had to grind a 3/8" extention down so it would fit into that square drive, then I managed to slither my head up so my eyes were right infront of the hole--tricky with 4x4! Then shined a small flashlight in it, only to be disapointed with the sight of a 12 point bolt, instead of a 12 point nut /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif So given the mods I have--BB turbo, DP-Tuner 6pos chip with 140hp, Exhaust, Intake, and FTVB, what would you guys do? I like the idea of water/meth injection--would probably use just water. Also, propane at a low level,50hp sounds safe /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif, but I have read about the consequences /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif So what do you guys think? Injectors, or drugs? BTW, with the Garrett BB turbo, do I need to ajust the wastegate actuator for more boost or what?---I get about 30lbs. in 140hp mode at 3000rpm-so only for a split sec /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

Unless it's a dedicated racer or puller, make some real power, with #2 only. And use the water all you want, just no methanol. Diesel only is the best way to make a motor last. Obviously it can be done with the drugs with enough self control and the ability to have somewhat lower gains. But are you one of those people? Don't forget about the effect on CP's. Just say no to drugs.

Powdered Metal Rods. Not forged. Take powdered metal and compress it evenly into the shape of a rod. Much like forged rods, just substitute powder for a blank to begin with for lack of a more detailed explanation. They do not have the plastic charactoristics of a forged rod and break instead of deflecting at the point of failure. Although worlds apart it would be something like the difference between a case hardened bolt, and a grade 8. The case hardened is done once it starts to go, it just shears. Whereas the grade 8 would deflect and return upon the initial hit, then eventually not return but still not let go completely, then it would eventually break but only after extreme abuse. Kind of like the difference between cast and forged metals. Although not correct, the associations between cast and forged do apply somewhat.
