we are broke down and stranded 700 miles from home. Replacing egr cooler in Walmart parking lot. Have it ready to go back together, wondering what type of sealers ie: silicone, anerobic, high temp should be used when installing orings and gaskets on or limited to all components?

we are also worried because dealer here doesnt have new gaskets and some orings in stock.

No sealers, just soak the o-rings with clean oil. You MIGHT be able to get away with reusing them....if your lucky. (not recommended but what else can you do?)

Good thing we made a new friend in Midland. We ran into someone that also drag races and he took us to the dealer. The dealer had a gasket kit in stock that had everything in it that we needed. It sure was easier than trying to look up everything seperately.

The part # for the gasket kit is 3c3z9433be if it helps anyone else out.
