i installed the chip no problems.. the truck ran great.. then as i was driving i made a left turn and there was a stall then no power from the accelerator. i idle to the side of the road and the service engine light comes on.. i am sure thsi is the tuners fault, but why does this cause my truck to react this way.. also the truck had an edge sticker on the back glass, and i could see somone had cut the plastic around the computer to accomodate the wire.. please help i want to use this BD 2001 f350 dually 7.3 ps

Depends. I think if you go past the copper coating you get down to the tin or vice versa. That's fine, just don't cut through the circuit board traces with that knife.

Whatever chip tuner you use (that plugs into the pcm board) make sure it's compatible with your pcm code. If not you can also have running issues.

This is a BIG "IF"but you say that the truck came with an Edge...I assume Juice because of the wire through firewall reference. Edge does not offer a piggyback style chip for our trucks.

Now, depending on HOW the wire for the idle validation switch was tapped into the IVS wire, it could have broken rendering the PCM to think that the accelerator pedal is not pushed down.

Worth a try...
