I have a early 2003 73 diesel 4 x 4 I have cloned it to a 2007 F350 Harley truck I have almost everything figured out but I am trying to install the brake controller I want to use the factory 2007 Controller that fits in the Dash I have installed the 2007 dashboard Is there any company or anyone out there that makes a wiring harness that is plug & play Or can someone tell me how to wire it myself I greatly appreciate it. I'd really like to thank you guys because it was a great help thanks to the site And everybody sharing the knowledge I was able to figure out how to wire my power telescoping late-model mirrors

Ford probably makes a pigtail that plugs into the 07 harness plug. That would be the easiest route. Before Ford had brake controllers, the pigtail was included in the trailer tow package if ordered as an option.

If that fails, brake controllers normally have 4 wires.

Power to controller
Ground
Signal to trailer
Signal from cold side of brake

You'll just have to know what colors the controller uses.

It is my understanding that the correct PCM is required to control the OEM controller, it's not just 4 wires like an aftermarket one. I am not aware of anyone successfully installing on the pre-2005 SD's
