I have a question for those of you who have installed Rize traction bars on your trucks ('99-'07).
I'm getting ready to install a set of the Rize bars on my 2000, and, unfortunately the instructions are less than helpful for my scenario. A call to Rize was of little help.
The main issue pertains to where the bracket should be mounted to the frame-rail. On the '05 and up trucks there are several holes which Rize utilizes for mounting. My frame doesn't have these holes, and I want to make sure that I locate the bracket properly.
So, when the truck is sitting on level ground with the bars installed, what should the orientation of the inverted shackle be? Should it be perpendicular to the frame? Or should it be perpendicular to the traction bar? Or???
If one of you guys with an '05 - '07 with the bars could take a look at how yours are mounted and report back, I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks!!!!
