I have a question for those of you who have installed Rize traction bars on your trucks ('99-'07).

I'm getting ready to install a set of the Rize bars on my 2000, and, unfortunately the instructions are less than helpful for my scenario. A call to Rize was of little help.

The main issue pertains to where the bracket should be mounted to the frame-rail. On the '05 and up trucks there are several holes which Rize utilizes for mounting. My frame doesn't have these holes, and I want to make sure that I locate the bracket properly.

So, when the truck is sitting on level ground with the bars installed, what should the orientation of the inverted shackle be? Should it be perpendicular to the frame? Or should it be perpendicular to the traction bar? Or???

If one of you guys with an '05 - '07 with the bars could take a look at how yours are mounted and report back, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks!!!!

Not to change your subject but I was curious how much damage the Rize Traction bars did to your wallet...? I looked into DR traction bars and Fabtech bars too awhile ago but just couldn't see paying over a grand for some bars and a few rod ends... The websites I've looked at with Rize suspension parts don't list a price for the traction bars. Feel free to PM me if you'd rather not post $ in this thread...
Sorry I can't offer much with your question about the install...
