I have a couple of lights out on dash illuminating lights. Any suggestions or hints before I start tearing apart the dashboard? 1995 F350.
I just changed out a couple. Pretty straightforward; sometimes if you turn the bulbs back and forth they will come back on. Corrosion i guess.
1. Pull the headlight knob (use a small pointy screwdriver)
2. Gently pry off the cover strip plastics (2) exposing the 6mm screws.
3. Chock the wheels and put gear selector in 1 if auto
4. Remove plastic plugs for tank selctor switch and warning lights.
5. Remove outer cover exposing 4-6mm screws holding on the guage cluster.
6. Behind the cluster are screw in plastic bulb holders, small hands are helpful.

Here is one piece of advice- Change them all!!!!

This isn't a mechanically tough job, but it was frustrating as hell with all the small things to deal with. I changed out a couple burned out bulbs last year. Now, two more are burned out. I should have done them all at once!

Just remember that the lights burnt out for a reason. If you only replace one or two today the odds are you will be back in there soon changing out others.
