I've decided to do the diy intercooler install on my 95'.

I've got a 6.0 intercooler, the early 99 spider and I just go a set of intercooler tubes off a very torched 7.3.

I'm not afraid to cut, bend, lengthen and weld the intercooler tubes in any way necessary to make them fit. But I noticed that there is a lot of stuff in the way. Battery cables, power steering line, AC lines etc.

So does anyone have some photos to help me figure out how to route all this stuff? Especially you guys who have used the 7.3,6.0 intercooler tubes. A good photo of how they route on the 99+ might be helpful too.

Thanks!

here is my first set of pipes that I did:

you can use the superduty drivers side pipe as it is by cutting it thru the factory "dent" that is in it to get around the sd alternator, take off some length of the cut off piece and use a six inch long boot. But you have to either get to a metal fab shop and get a bead roll done to the cut ends, or get a welding bead run around the ends or something to help hold your boots on, their is nothing more terrifing or loud than blowing off a boot @ 30+ lbs of boost and it can do some damage!

A very good friend fabb'ed up the passengers side pipe with pieces from both a sd passenger side and a 6.0 pipe. that is an early 99 factory Y-pipe that I "'Polished" up....

I slicked up a set of the hyper max obs pipes recently, the fit thru the engine compartment is outstanding! Maybe thes pics will help you build both sides:

Thanks ThreeStarJR! Thats exactly what I needed. That's a clean engine! Maybe I can get mine that clean after I fix the last little fuel leak. I have a Ford reman engine, so they painted EVERYTHING black. Not too pretty.
