So I salvage yarded myself an all aluminum 99 7.3 intercooler and an early 99 spider to do an intercooler install on my 96. I got a good deal on the factory plumbing that comes with it knowing that in order to use it, I would have to modify it. I am wondering if anyone out there sells a kit with pre fabbed piping for one of our trucks.

It looks like the only way to get it is either 900$ as a whole kit (spider, cooler, piping) on ebay. Or 1200 to 1500 dollars whole kit from banks. Like everyone else I am on a budget. All I need is the piping I have extra boots and clamps from the piping I salvaged. I read some old posts in forums about some guy named chris who made and sold them years ago but the reviews were great product with terrible customer service (months to receive product if you even received it.) he charged 200$.

I am not worried about stainless or aluminum and would prefer steel so that I could weld pin holes in the future.

Does anyone know of a kit out there or have pictures of their fab work?

Thanks

I appreciate the response. I was under the impression that I would need to do some chopping and welding to make the factory 99 pipes work properly. So it really should just be an easy install for these pipes?

Also on the drivers side the pipe has some ugly heat wrap on it. I planned on removing the heat wrap since it is all tore up and flaky. Would it be suggestable to re-wrap the turbo outlet/cooler inlet pipe? I have seen a lot of setups where this pipe has been left bare.

The set will fit without cutting as snowtow said. I installed the set on mine but ended up changing the passenger side as i wasn't happy with the tension it was putting on the lines that were already there. (heater hoses, ac line, and battery cable) Didnt want to chance something getting rubbed through.

ok thank you. any thoughts on the heat wrap? Whether I should try to re wrap the tubes or just leave them be? I have no idea the expected temperatures that they will be having when in use.
