I have a 1996 and the tachometer in the truck intermittently works. There is no "check engine" light and no starting issues. I've read that the tach signal comes off the CPS and can cause a series of issues including transmission shift quality which doesn't change weather the tach is working or not.

Also would anybody have a schematic of this circuit?

Any help would be great.
