After reading multiple threads about not paying over dealer invoice, where exactly do you find the invoice prices?

The only problem with online invoices is that they tend to exclude the FDAF advertising charges, which, with limited exceptions (fleet, GPC) are unavoidable. And, they represent a true cost to the dealer. Most dealers will share their invoice with a serious customer ... I find that most customers are often shocked to see how tight our margins really are!

kbb.com tends to come out almost exact as what my fleet person gives me. As I'm sure you already know never fall for that additional dealer mark up they try to stick people with. And of course you know that invoice is their so called "cost", but they still making money on the deal.

If the dealer invoice price is"true cost to the dealer" and it also includes the holdback from Ford how exactly is dealer invoice price a "true cost to the dealer"?

So if someone ordered in the truck below are you going to tell us at a dealer invoice less incentives plus TT&L deal your dealership would make $0 or your dealership would make $1810?

I would say at a minimum the dealership made $1810 Holdback (Assuming they meet Ford goals) and the $636 if you ordered the vehicle. Total $2446. Plus they beat you up on the trade.

MacMan ... Important points .... First of all, the FDAF fee is an actual cost to the dealer ... Unless you are a True Fleet Account ... that is, you can supply a Fleet Identification Number .... To get that, you have to be approved by the Ford Fleet Department .. There is no way to "fudge" that ...

Holdback represents potential to the dealership, and really the last bit of juice left ... I'm all for bargaining, but in reality there must be some incentive left for the dealership, particularly when we are limited in how many trucks we can simply get .... This is the new reality: The good news is, Ford is profitable ... and many of the dealerships left after the carnage of the last few years are on solid ground .... The bad news? well, Ford and their dealers are, and must continue to maintain some profit margin .... Dont feel bad for the dealers, but Superduties are expensive to inventory .. you want price and selection? You can get both , but up to a point ...
