I've not been a happy camper since my PAID Autoguide app quit working and the technical genius told me to delete and reinstall without bothering to mention that this version of the app was no longer available.

As such, I've been stuck with the nearly unusable new version Autoguide app. Well, since ios 10 was released - it doesn't work at all. Same issue on my iPhone and iPad. When you start the app, it flashes and then goes off. Double clicking the home button shows it running in the background, but it will not come to the foreground. I went to delete and reload the app and noticed something telling. The app has a rating of 1 star. 1.00000 stars. How is that possible you ask? Well, it got that high of a rating because you can't rank an app zero stars.

Please, administrators - please do something to make this app functional. The fact that once you open a thread you can't go back in any reasonable manner is infuriating. Yes, I know if you hold your tongue just right and swipe the screen, sometimes it will go back. The other 90% of the time, it marks the individual post. How hard would it be to put a back button like the old version? Is that a copywrite protected feature that you're not allowed to duplicate?

I know all you guys use Androids. Some of us out here value function over battery combustability though.

Just downloaded tapatalk. It has a 2 star rating, so maybe it will tolerable. I hate that I will have to learn a new interface just because someone decided to "upgrade" an app that was working just fine.

Yep. Seen it happen with a few apps.
On the Android side, Tapatalk is 4.1 stars.

I don't know too much about apple products but my iphone user coworker confirmed to me that if you had sync'ed up your phone to your itunes account, you should still be able to recover old apps so long as it was save in the account prior.

Now, this is something that android users are able to do but I'm not too sure with iphone people, but if you have an app and your friend/partner does not, you can actually send the app to them. Is this an option on iOS?

No - you can't share apps between users. And - nobody uses iTunes to back their phones up anymore - its all done on iCloud these days. And, since that's not an app on the iTunes store anymore, it doesn't recover it like you would expect it should.

My wife as an iPhone and i use autoguide on it for the forum, i just checked and the iPhone as the ios 10.0.2 and i'm using the app right now to write this post. Work the same as before....

I lost my old auto guide app when I upgraded from an iPhone 5S to a 6S+ last month. I installed iOS 10, my current autoguide app still works, but I can't say I'm real happy either.

I use safari web browser on my iPad
