When it is this warm, I doubt that your GPs have anything to do with it. It sounds to me like your starter is getting weak or your batteries are having a tough time turning the starter. Have you had those checked out? Any autozone will do it.

First thing in the morning i would check oil level in HPOP res.

I think Bill hit the nail on the head. Sounds like the HP oil is draining and takes a long time (lot of cranking) in the morning to build up.
If your HPOP reservoir level is low, fill it back up and it sure fire up much faster.

Check the oil in the HPOP resevoir on the top , allen head screw,, If it is not 1/2 inch from the top ,fill it with motor oil...

There will be a reason if it is low....We can get into that more if we need to...

Picture here...

Agree with what's been said about the HPOP reservoir. If not the problem, you may want to get a scanner and look at how long it takes for the HP oil to build up pressure. I had a similar problem and the scanner showed I didn't get pressure until the last split second of the crank. Turned out to be IPR o-rings. I used Alex Pepper's OBD-2 car code software for this.

if anyone is interested, the hard start problem finnaly left me stranded last night while i stopped to fuel up. i hopped back in the truck and turned the key only to get a slow couple of spins then nothing, even a jump from a friends 06' 350 diesel couldnt get her spinnin. I went ahead and cleaned up all the connections with no luck and lastly pullled the starter just for kicks. I had that tested the following morning only to find it was dead as a doorknob. I remembered reading something on here about fitting a 99' and up starter in place of the stock unit and figured it was worth a try, needless to say i am very pleased with the results, my truck spins over rediculusly fast and always starts right up. Thanx for everyones input and esp the tip about the starters.
