I need some help, My dealer has been doing everything they can to get me the wiring harness for my 2017 f350, but they are getting no where. WE have been waiting 3 months, yes 3 months for a part on a truck they are literally making thousands of every week. Two calls to ford customer service have only let to more frustration and to be honest now anger over this. Yes i can use my truck, but very annoying to have no back up camera and now my busy season is here and might not be able to let the truck go for the day it will take to fix when and if the part ever does show up.

If you can do something to get ford to listen i would appreciate it, the customer service number is a joke, only trying to say they are sorry with no real solution other than avenues my dealer is already taking.

Yes, there's still a Ford rep that's a member here. They may not be on every day, but you could PM username Fordservice to see if they can help you.

I can understand your frustration, but is looking over your shoulder when you back up really that much of an inconvenience? We do get spoiled by the glitzy features available nowadays, but you really shouldn't be depending on a backup camera.

You are missing the point entirely, I paid 72000 plus for this truck, it is currently in production and ford cannot get me a simple part.

I have had back up cameras in the last several pickups and while they are certainly not a mandatory item I did pay for it, and expect it to be able to be repaired. Three months is beyond what should ever have to be tolerated waiting for ANY part on a new vehicle PERIOD. And looking over your shoulder doesn't help hook up trailers like I am doing a lot right now with my business.

I hope that Ford gets their act together and gets your truck fixed. Are you trying to add a backup camera to a truck that didn't originally have one or did something happen to the harness supporting your factory installed camera?

animal damage to a truck that has the factory system, so also have an insurance guy wanting to clean this off his books. Ford is looking really bad all around in this deal.

I know this is not the same but: is the harness repairable? My job frequently involves wiring problems that involve splicing and replacing harness connectors. Just a thought especially if it's not bad.
