For a while now, my Isopro Trans Temp guage has been on the fritz. Needle will bounce a little or go full scale deflection and back again rapidly.
I live in WA state and rarely does it get warm enough for the guage to even come off the peg, so I'm not sure if it's working or not when it is not having one of it's spells.
I have checked the "transmitter" box for loose connections, but all are good.
I'm gonna go over all the wires next weekend looking for a loose wire, but it seems to me if it was a loose wire, it wouldn't go full scale defection?
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Scott

Thats funny because mine just started doing the same thing last Thursday.
It will go from hot to cold then hover somewhere in between.
Gonna call Diesel Manor in a bit.

How old are your gauges?
Mine are 6 mos. old.

Contact your dealer or Isspro direct and let them know, it should be warrantied very easily without any issues. There very easy to work with.

It's probably the sender. Simply replace the sender and you're good to go. One of mine did that a couple of years ago, and DIS replaced the sender. Now that same gauge is doing it again, so I'll have DIS replace the sender again the next time I'm in Lubbock.

I had the exact same problem about a year ago. I called the dealer that I bought my guage set from. I assumed it was the sender and asked to have a new one sent to me. I was told that you can NOT just replace the sender on the ISPRO tranny guage. The guage/super secret black box/and guage are a matched set. All need to be replace. Replaced them all (under warrenty) and all is good. Good luck

Update:

Tech support told me to replace the whole system because the sender and transmitter are a "matched set". I decided I needed to do a little more troubleshooting...

For those of you that have the same problem, I found the problem to be the connection between the sender and the wiring that leads to the transmitter.

If you disconnect the sender, and jump the connection, you should see the gauge go up about 45* and then come back down. This will prove that there is nothing wrong with the gauge and transmitter box.

I simply disconnected the connections and sprayed the [email protected] out of the connections that had been beat up with a couple years of road grime and voila, it works again. I boiled some water and put the sender in there to see if the gauge reached 212* or thereabouts and it worked 4.0.

Kinda embarrassed to say that the erratic gauge problem I had, and that several of ya'll have mentioned, may simply be a dirty connection at the sender. Good luck.
