Do you let you glow plug light go out before you crank it?

If I crank mine with out letting the glow plug go out i might as well forget it starting but if I wait she fires right up.

My buddy's 7.3 needs to be plugged in to start also. His glow plug light goes off much to fast for my liking. He thinks he has a few glow plugs failing. Is that even possible? Not sure how the glow system operates.

Unfortunately isn't this a dealer diag issue? You may have to suck it up.

Or hope for early spring There goes your tax return.
