OK-here is a little update-hope it doesn't get moved.

Here are the mods we added/changed...

Junge Ford-Kevin put it all together
BDP injectors-(ask him)
ATS A5K turbo (its big)
BDP polished intakes-good for 10 HP
BTS pump (call him)
custom DI/Mahle cut and coated pistons
BDP/Tymar custom rods (call Bean) saved 4 lbs reciprocating weight
***-fire rings, main girdle and studs
custom a/w intercooler w/4" pipes, heat exchanger (radiator), and 12 gallon fuel cell reservoir. All braided stainless lines and fittings. Works very well even with water at ambient temps, we saw a 50 degree drop.

That is the bulk of it I think.....anyway, it runs-still have to get the intercooler boots to stay on. It builds about 25 PSI and the boots can't hold-even with a bead on the pipes and gasket glue. That is the 20 HP setting on the chip. We'll get it sorted-first sled hook is Monday.

Here is a little taste of it-Jody's lowest possible tune-just to get it running. BDP-call Kyle and collect on your bet! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smokin.gif

That sounds familiar. Still using the 208* cam or di you get a split duration?

Try putting 2 straps across the boot (form intercooler pipe to the water to air cooler) make sure they are on opposite sides of the pipe. We ran in to the same problem but it was at 80psi /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

OK boys-

after months of hard work (not by me LOL)I am going to reveal some pictures of our set up. This is the running "mock up" and we'll make things look better once it's proven. I don't have secrets-all of these things can be purchased from site sponsors(some are custom one offs). You wont see me putting a blanket over the engine as an example-I actually keep the hood open to show off! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif

Start here-fresh pics as of this morning:

Hey BB, if your going to a water to air intercooler is your truck not daily driven? As far as I knew with gassers you cant cool the water fast enough to use all the time unless with hot water its still ok. The few I knew that ran those had to do about 10 minutes of cirulate time to cool it down enough for another run. These were gassers of course though.

Edit: not asking if it can be daily driven jsut woundering if its pretty much a play toy now.

Good question. The design of the unit was carefully thought out and engineered knowing this truck still has to tow my race trailer. That is why we have a 12 gallon fuel cell as a reservoir, and what you can't see is the aluminum racing radiator that we are using as a heat exchanger. The cooling properties of water are superior to air even at the same temps. This system (intercooler) is designed for turbocharged race cars producing 1800 HP.

If the water gets heat soaked, open the drain, refill. Can't change the air temp outside.

WOW!! Everything looks awesome and if it doesn't work then I'll put my truck in the for sale section and start with something else.

Keeping my fingers crossed... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/depressed.gif

Looks [email protected] good. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif What injectors did you end up using? You swapped out the MMs right?

Not really sure other than Bean says they are plenty...you can call and ask him-but they aren't hybrids... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smokin.gif

Yep that truck sounds soooooo good and on top of that it's my favorite color!

Just one question for BB, do you change out the wheels for pullin or did you get rid of the black one's? The black wheels on your truck really set it off! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
