I have a 95 F350 extended cab dually. While going down the road it jingles. Sound like someone is ringing a bell when I hit small bumps in the road. I think it may be coming from the front end but I am not 100% sure it is. Me and my brother got underneath the truck and banged around on everything we could think of and cant make it do it while it is sitting still. Anyone have any idea of what may be causing this noise? Thanks.

Break pads rattling? If so there is a glue that can be used to glue the pads to the calipers.

Ok, its not the brakes. I found the thing that is making the noise. It is on the drivers side. It is a cone shaped washer inside the coil spring on the bottom, I`m assuming a spring retainer. Can I just tighten this up or is it a sign of more serious problems? Thanks

Mine does the same thing. Betcha it is the "C" clips on the leaf springs. Take a hammer to them and you should be ablt to tighten them down. if that dont work, just wrap them with electrical tape..

later!

I sprayed some rubberized paint on it for the time being. The nut is not loose but it is just far enough away from that washer to let it jingle. The paint took care of it, no more jingle. I plan on rebuilding the front end here soon so Ill check it out more thoroughly then.

mine too, no biggie, just retains the spring if the suspension ever travels past the limit of the shock, which can only happen if the shock breaks.
