New member here ... just wanted to say hello and thank all the contributors of this forum for the great info ... you guys really know your stuff! I've gone thru a 1/2 pack of printer paper in the last week or so. This recently reconverted Ford guy is lovin it. Cheers.

A few questions to come but just wanted to say hi first.

Welcome to TDS. The likelihood of tranny failure is high...if you're constantly getting on it. The bets thing you could do for your tranny and wallet is buy the sonnex springs from Diesel Innovations or replace the valvebody with an aftermarket one. That will extend your tranny life, but will not save it forever. Get some gauges for your truck and fill out your signature with the mods you've done to help us out for future reference.

Good Morning Danny,

Thanks for the advice. I've got a quick question for u on the tranny, should I go with the 'kit', sonnax valve and tricumulator springs OR should I go with Gregg's valve body?

Gotta go ... the fish are a bite'n. 68lb spring caught yesterday at sunrise, 25 mins from where I launch! Anyone like cold smoked salmon? I'll send the first few takers BC's finest ... cured, cold smoked (alder/cherry), and vacuum packed.

Good day.

You had 95% of the work done with the Sonox valve done. Another 10 min and you would have had more than enough time to complete the job with the springs. They are 3 springs that are installed in the valve body.

I had a question. The valve kit can be installed into the stock VB correct? Also how long does it take to put the springs in and complete the install?

Took me 1 3/4 - 2 hours complete from removing the pan to putting it back on and filling with oil and I'm slow.
