I just bought a 2005 F350. 105000 miles. The water is coming out of the degas bottle. Ive read alot of horror stories about this problem. I just sold a 2002 F250 with 0 engine problems. I hope I dont regret my decision. I figured Ford had all the kinks worked out of this engine. Any advice on how to prevent any problems with this truck. It runs excellent at this time.

IMO problems have started...will only get worse.
EGR delete, studs, oil cooler for starts ..and hope your heads are not cracked.

Thanks. I just got white smoke coming out of the tail pipe today. The guy has a lot of experience on this motor thats looking at it. He said its probably head gaskets and the EGR cooler. I will know tomorrow. He said the delete kit, oil cooler, ARP studs, and clean the turbo and I should be alright. Hope he is right.
