We needed a beefier vehicle to tow our toy hauler, and our daughter and her hubby needed to work on their finances. So we are purchasing their 2002 7.3 Excursion. It has 194,000 miles and is in pretty good condition. We live in Phoenix AZ so there is absolutely zero rust.
He is very mechanical and takes good care of his cars so I'm confident it has received all required maintenance (and then some).
Their advantage is that they still have use of the Excursion whenever they wish unless we are traveling with it.
Right now it needs two items repaired. A Vehicle Safety Module, and a Steering Box. Shouldn't be too bad on the bank account.
