I just placed an order for an F-450 King Ranch. Pretty much loaded except for moon roof and supplemental heat. The dealer said that the Nav units are being shipped for the Super Duties so it shouldn't hold up the order much if at all.

I usually keep my trucks four years just so I can get a reasonable amount on trade and afford a new one. My current F-450 has been the best truck I've ever owned and it wasn't an easy decision to trade it. I think the new F-450 is probably a more comfortable truck but I'm still dissapointed that Ford basically re-badged the F-350 Tow Boss into a 450. I do like the 19.5 wheels on my '08 and the heavy rear axle. Even though I haven't had any problems with the 6.4, I'm reluctant to keep it past the warranty period. I like the fact that the 6.7 seems to be working out well and with a single turbo maybe is a little less complicated than the 6.4 even though it has the DEF system.

The electric heater would be nice the three or four cold days you have in Kilgore each year. ;)

if you don't need the payload and really beleive the tow capacity hocus pocus you won't mind.

My 08 is warranted to 200,000 miles and its the last big truck I'll have unless I find a 2010.

Mercy sakes, this is a nice truck. Brought it home this evening, haven't had time to completely check out the information display and sync/navigation. Drives a lot like my '08, feels a little more refined. Definate different engine response, no lag at all. Only 35 miles on it so I'm not going to try any really hard acceleration yet but you can feel lots of potential from the engine.
