I don't understand..is there a link or something to explain the need or the large fuse panel?

I did it to take some of the load off the ignition switch wiring, I found that on a long trip of all day some of my add on's like the stereo power amp were making my steering column a bit warm. At one time I was running everything off my power window circuit.
