The 3rd and final race at Alaska Race Way Park July 20th. The gate opens at 5PM, Test and Tune starts at 6PM and the Race starts at 8PM. It’s still just 35 bucks to race and all you need is a Helmet, Drivers License and a Long sleeve shirt. This is Bracket Racing so you don't need to be the fastest to win, just the most consistent. If you can't race please come at cheer on the Trucks!!!
Northern Diesel Performance will be giving away a $150.00 Gift Certificate via a random drawing that everybody who attends will be eligible for so come on out!!
Any questions call me at 360-3933

Hey Jim, how has it been going out there? Is the track happy with attendance?

They seem to be border line right now, if we can show good support on this last race there shouldn't be a problem with us run another series next year, maybe by then I can sponcer all 3 races instead of just 1 and that would make them real happy /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

It has to be tough up there. Aren't the diesel owners pretty spread out? How does one get the word out? Maybe just by having a cookout and show-n-shine also, then once someone was there, they would consider a shot down the track? Just guessing at this point.

I think the hardest part is getting people to understand the difference between drag racing and Bracket racing. So they don't bother because they only have a chip or nothing at all.
We've printed out flyers and posted them at the parts stores and grocery stores etc.. The track does radio ads and has the info on their web-site. Between sponsoring the race and having a drawing for a gift certificate were doing about as much as we can.
We'll keep plugging away at it and hope for a good turn out.

The major problem is after you wake up on 1 April you don't get to sleep until 1 November!!!! I have my Father and mother in law parked in my RV area, My brother and wife come in this weekend, Brother in law and wife arriving next friday, Yard shead ready for roof, OH YA The job that pays for the fishing trips and toys!!! I will be in Homer Halibit fishing on the 22nd. Life in paradise is not as easy as it seems /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hey Jim I will not be there this time, I have to work. I am trying to get the word out though. You get the truck running yet?

I think one of the other problems with the truck nights is that they are doing them on weekday nights. There are not alot of guys who want to work all day and then spend a couple of hours at the track. That along with fishing, building projects and summer in general. I know why the track puts us on Wed. nights, but it would be nice if maybe one time next summer we could race on a weekend with some others. I think this would get us more notice. I bet 30% of the guys that tow there cars to the track use Diesel trucks to do so and I bet if at the end of a day of weekend racing a couple of them might be inclined to race the old tow rig just for fun. Just an idea.

Sorry you can't make it. No, I don't have it running yet. The motor has been sitting on the engine stand waiting for turbos.

Read the other post about being rained out, at least now you might get your turbo so you can race.

I have an HY35 off my cummis if you want it. Spools great, makes 35 psi /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif

I probably will not make the reschedule either, the 31st is my wedding ann.

Good luck getting the truck together and have a safe trip to FBX.

Thanks, But I just got the turbo's last night so I'm trying to get as much done as I can before I leave Sunday Morning. I hope to be up and running by the 31st.
Sorry about picking your Anniversary day /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif Maybe I'm just trying to even out the ford/dodge ratio /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif LOL.
Remember, There's no better way to say "I love you" than a pair of tickets to a drag race........ It's worth a shot.
