The '95 drips out the rear seal where the driveshaft slips into the T-case.
Anyone replace that seal?
How hard is it to do?
Thanks.

Make sure that the leak is not from the plug in the yoke, instead of the seal. Just had to replace mine. According to my mech. friend that happens quite often.

I've had that leak for a while. Whips oil from the driveshaft to the underbelly.

Last time I ??? here, folks said it's very doable, but you have to crack the case to get to it. Better, for me, to let it leak. I let it leak for 5 years before changing the fluid, and I didn't have much of a shortage when I drained it.

The plug I was talking about is in the yoke where the splines were machined. A hole had to be bored through the yoke and then sealed with a welsh plug after machining. The oil wil be coming from inside of the yoke and then slung out of it. The oil tracks on the vehical will be a little closer to the rear of the yoke.

Thanks for all the tips.
I forgot it leaked once before. Seems if the truck sits for a while, which it tends to do, the seal dries out. I drove it for a couple days and no more leak. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif
