I have noticed the last few times I have towed that coolant is leaking out the degas bottle at the cap. The dash temperature gauge hasn't changed and it doesn't seem to run wierd or anything. I don't smell fuel in the coolant so I don't think its a injector cup or anything like that.

Do I have a bad cap or thermostat? It only seems to be a problem when towing, never does it when unloaded.

Thanks

Brian

Maybe over heating from bugs and junk clogging up air flow?

My 2001 did the same thing . It turned out a injector cup on #3 cyl. was bad and was presuring up the coolant system which was causing coolant to go out the cap due to the excess pressure. Motor ran fine, no coolant in the oil.

Any easy way to check the cups without tearing the engine apart? I noticed that it only seems to spill over after I fill it up to the fill line on the tank. It will spill out once when it gets a little hot when towing then doesn't do it again. Seems like a injector cup would pressurizing the cooling system all the time.
