So I have the dreaded fuel leak and diesel smell coming from the front of my 2004 CC F250. I think the leak is coming from the fuel lines that run alongside the engine. When I crank up the truck in the morning, it hesitates, bucks, then idles normally after it warms up within the first mile or two. During that time, there's minimal power until the engine warms up. I dont see any fuel coming out around the fuel bowl. Diesel almost pours from the lines initially, but then changes to a slow drip. I was told this may be the o-rings in the fuel lines that have gone bad. Can these O-rings be replaced? Or do I need all new lines? Could I just splice in some high pressure fuel line where the male/female connections are?
