Was looking under truck today and noticed that the transmission is leaking. It looks like it is leaking from the front and it has blown back onto the pan and cross-member. There is enough fluid on the pan that the fluid looks like it is about to drip off pan and pan bolts. Anyone experience this? Does anyone know if the truck in my sig is covered under the factory warranty at 67k or am I going to have to turn this one into my extended warranty? I made an appointment with the dealer on tuesday.

That's what I figured. Im glad I bought the extended warranty. This could almost pay for it.

Had the trans leaks inspected today at the dealer. They found 2 leaks. One was the pan gasket. The other was a crushed fitting on the fill line/dipstick tube. I wonder how that would happen. While under there they found an oil leak. I had visions of my cab coming off in my head but it turned out be the CAC. Anyone know what that is? Is this a common part to go bad or leak?

I think the CAC tube is the one coming from the cool side of the intercooler and goes into the intake. I also think it is normal to get some oil in this tube but not sure if it should be enough to create a drip, especially since there is a clamp that holds the tube on.

The dealer said the tube was actually in need of replacement to stop leak. Is this usually the case that this part needs replaced when it leaks? This was covered under the engine warranty. I was told my extended warranty actually picks up the $100 deductible on any item Ford covers under their warranty since they essentially get out of paying for the repair.
