I have changed most on the marker lights in my truck to LED's from PUTCO and when working, the look is good. Unfortunately, the roof marker lights have a ferocious appetite for these LED's as I have changed the five at least three times! In 98% of the cases, the bulbs are faded and broken resulting in having to fish out little wires etc.
Meters suggest nothing wrong with the circuit which should indicate the bulbs are the problem, but the other bulbs around the truck rarely fail.
The time frame is about 18 months and I do not jump ravines with my truck.
Any thoughts?

Just guessing, but heat is a enemy. Do you have a non-contact thermometer (IR Gun) or even touch the lens and see how hot they are getting compared to the other lights. IF they are all burning out at the same time I would think it is a temperature problem? Another thing is voltage spikes.

I would have thought the low power consumption of the LED's would keep the heat lower, but will check as per your suggestions.
Thinking back to the years of the stock bulbs, I rarely changed a bulb in same conditions.
My supplier of the LED's is contacting PUTCO and sourcing other brands that may work properly. At least the cost has been minor as they have been replacing everything for free.

Different years, but I changed out my clearance lights/bed lights/interior lights and everything else on my truck and trailer--none of them have gone out.
