Good afternoon all,

I just picked up my Nappa filter to do my intake and took out the top portion of the factory air box. I tried to just sit the filter in place but found that the bottom of the box sits too high and the hood seems to hit the filter. Just need that ½ inch more of the factory box. I have read that some guys take the whole air and battery box out. I did not get that far yet but by taking the battery box out will the battery still be held in the same position and mount. I really don’t want to ruin the factory box in case I want to sell it with stock parts. Any suggestions?

YOu will most likely need to cut part of the bottom of what is left of the air box out. On mine there was no split.
