Hi everyone, What are the differences between a limited slip and an electronic locker? The F450 only comes with a limited slip. I don't plan on ever having one wheel hanging in the air. But I will be on some rather slippery boat ramps. Do I need to plan on adding anything aftermarket to an F450?

Just like it sounds.
Electronic is electronic locking.
Limited slip uses clutches.

The limited slip rear has pre-loaded clutches that will improve side to side traction but obviously will allow some slip. The e-locker when applied locks the rear axles together so there is no slip. The e-locker will only function at speeds up to 20 MPH. When you turn with the locker on one the rear tires will have to slip. It might be there is no e-locker available on the F450 because of the dual wheels and potential weight over the axle with those trucks and the possibility of breaking an axle.

Yeah Gearhad has it.
The elocker will be much better for instant locking of both wheels. You will have better luck pulling up an algae covered ramps.
Limited slips, tend to spin a bit before locking.
If an elocker is available and you want it, you could wire in a warning light so you remain cognoscente of it being engaged so you only uses it on straight pulls.
